Hello!

I have a problem: the PID of the openldap doesn't exist but when i
want to start the soft, it says me that the soft is running....

# /etc/init.d/slapd start
slapd: [INFO] Using /etc/default/slapd for configuration
slapd: [INFO] Launching OpenLDAP configuration test...
slapd: [OK] OpenLDAP configuration test successful
slapd: [OK] OpenLDAP is already running

# /etc/init.d/slapd stop
slapd: [INFO] Using /etc/default/slapd for configuration
slapd: [INFO] Halting OpenLDAP...
kill: uso: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ...
or kill -l [sigspec]
slapd: [ALERT] OpenLDAP still running (PID ), try: /etc/init.d/slapd forcestop

# /etc/init.d/slapd forcestop
slapd: [INFO] Using /etc/default/slapd for configuration
slapd: [INFO] Killing OpenLDAP with force...
kill: uso: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ...
or kill -l [sigspec]
slapd: [ALERT] Unable to kill OpenLDAP with force (PID )

"ps aux | grep slapd" > no exist slapd service/pid

/var/run/slapd.pid > is empty

reboot/shutdown....don't resolve the problem....

Thank you very much!

Librement,
